ACT 1

Queen: “Ah Vanessa, how I crave a donut. Please fetch me one!”
5 minutes pass by
Queen: Where art thou Vanessa?!
A curios donut wanders into the room.
The queen gasps Look, there is an edible inner tube walking in!
Queen: Where has my servant gone?! I will fetch this donut myself!
The donut shot a quick glance at the queen, and immediately started to run away.
Queen: Wait! Come back! The queen started after the dashing donut
The donut ran like the wind. After a few minutes, she was convinced she lost the queen.
The queen had rarely ran in her life and was exhausted
Queen: I will come back donut! One day I will eat you!
The donut was thankful for her fast, swift legs. But she was as exhausted as the queen. Unaware of her surroundings, she went to a corner and soon fell asleep.
Meanwhile the queen returned to her castle
Queen: Fetch me my servant (Vanessa), guard!
The guard proceeded to the servant hall.
Guard: The queen has ordered Vanessa to her throne room!
Vanessa walks in
Queen: Ah Vanessa, so glad you arrived. I have a matter to discuss with you.
Vanessa smiled meekly. The queen had never called servants like this before.
Queen: I have this craving…my craving came into the dining hall earlier but ran. I chased after it but she was so fast. She ran into the forest.
Vanessa: What would you like me to do my Royal Highness?
Queen: I need you and I to find my craving. It looks like an inner tube with piles of sugar glazed on.
Vanessa: Of course your Highness. I will scour the lands until I have brought this inner tube to you!
Queen: You may take half of the land, while I take the other. However! Do not eat of this unless I allow you to.
Vanessa: Of course your Royal Highness. Vanessa wandered out of the room and into the forest to find this edible inner tube.
The queen hopped onto her Royal horse and galloped out of her castle
Vanessa is found in the dark gloomy woods without anyone. She wanders there for hours but can not find anything that looks like a inner tube.
Queen: Inner tube! The queen searched high and low on the plains, but could find not a trace of the donut
But something had. A wolf sniffed the curious air. Something was not right
Meanwhile, Vanessa heard a rustle. She followed the sound until she saw a family of donuts in the tall grass.
But these were chocolate. It did not look like the one the queen had described.
Wolf: What is this smell? It’s rich and…tasty. I can’t wait to lick my chops in front of a fast meal. But what’s this? I smell a human too! How lucky I am this day. I will have meals to last the week.
Vanessa looked around wildly. No one was watching. No one would know. She grabbed her hand at one of the donuts and gulped it down. And just like the she had disobeyed the queen’s number 1 rule.
The wolf crept into a clearings edge and found a girl gouging herself on inner tubes
As Vanessa was cleaning her mouth of the chocolate goodness, she heard a soft growl behind her.
Queen: Where is that girl?! I’m starving!
The Queen rides quickly to the forest to find this inner tube. Right when she entered she came upon a horrific scene
Vanessa had to get away. Somehow. Someway. But it was already too late for that.
The wolf readied himself to pounce, when hooves rang through the forest
he Royal Horse appeared, and with the queen on it. The wolf watched on in silence. But what the Queen saw would leave a scratch on her for life.
Queen: Are you eating my inner tubes?!?
The wolf heard this and an evil plan formed in his evil mind
Vanessa whirled around quickly to see the queen, hands on her hips, and glaring into her soul.
Vanessa: I-I can explain your majesty!
Queen: You can explain why chocolate is smeared over your face!? This is an outrage, I will search alone!
The queen storms away from the outrageous scene. Vanessa tries to keep up, but this time the queen was the faster one.
The wolf watched on in silence as the Queen stormed back to her castle.
The wolf smiled wide, baring his sharp teeth. He would have his revenge. He too wanted those donuts and Vanessa
Vanessa was left there in tears. She had betrayed the Queen.
The queen stormed off. She would find her glazed inner tube. Judging by Vanessa’s chocolate smears, her glaze was still out there, somewhere
Meanwhile, the rest of the family of donuts scrambled away, hoping not to be next.
The queen dismounted her horse to easily navigate the forest. She became suddenly wary of the horrors of the forest. For a fleeting moment, she wondered if this craving was worth this much trouble.
The queen shook that thought away. Any inner tube would be worth it.
The wolf who was watching behind a tree heartily agreed. Not only an inner tube, but the Queen looked quite tasty as well.
The wolf watched the Queen’s every movement, waiting for the right moment to make his move.
But suddenly, there was a thrashing behind him. Something big was rushing through the forest
Something big. Something scary. But most importantly something not worth his time. The wolf gave up on his plan and darted away.
Yet as the wolf retreated to his den, the delicious thought of an inner tube kept nagging at his mind.
He wouldn’t give up. Not yet. Not now. He would just have to avoid this looming “thing” to get the delicious treat he wanted.
The queen, too, heard something. A crashing through the forest. A shadow was cast over her. She screamed.

ACT 2

The queen waited for her tragedy. But as the shadow came closer, she whirled around and saw that is was just her servant Vanessa. But she seemed to hear a louder crashing behind her.
The betrayed queen and the traitor servant huddled together in fear. The crashing wouldn’t stop.
The wolf looked around wildly in every direction, hoping for the crashing to stop soon. But it refused to.
He cowered in a corner of his den. The crashing engulfed him.
It wouldn’t stop. It seemed like the noise wanted to swallow him whole.
And Suddenly, something jumped out of the shadows of the trees!
He glanced at the huge shadow towering over him. He closed his eyes, admitting defeat. But when he opened his eyes, he saw it was just an inner tube, just like the Queen had described!
The wolf let out a guttural laugh. He sprang.
But just as the wolf sprang a hand zoomed by and grabbed the inner tube. In a moment, it disappeared into the owner’s mouth.
The wolf bared his teeth. That inner tube was his, and his alone.
He followed his gaze to the face of monster. it was the Queen. Faster than the wolf could react, the Queen was long gone out of his den.
The queen licked her lips. The inner tube was better than she had imagined. But it came with a price, the wolf was on her heels.
The Queen pushed herself to her limits and ran even faster than the wolf. She dashed toward Vanessa, her eyes wide and scared.
Vanessa whistled to call the Royal Horse.
The Royal Horse galloped towards them. But was it fast enough?
The queen sighed, seeing he would. Until it tripped.
It stumbled to the ground. Vanesa and the Queen gasped in horror. Just as the wolf was about to pounce, a flash happened.
Out of nowhere, a huge cluster of fireflies appeared. Nobody understood what happened.
The wolf watched them perform their “show”. He had never seen fireflies before, and Vanessa and the Queen saw this as their escape.
As the Queen whipped her head around, she smacked her head against a tree. Getting a slight concussion, she threw up- losing her inner tube.
Vanessa looked behind her. The wolf was still interested in the fireflies, but that wouldn’t be for long. She had a choice to make, Save the Queen, or Go back to the castle.
Vanessa glanced at the Royal Horse, it was recovering quickly from it’s earlier stumble.
She dashed towards the Queen. As they limped together, the wolf saw this and sprinted toward them.
Vanessa turned. She hurriedly fastened the queen onto her horse. She slapped the horse and it bolted. Vanessa turned to face the wolf alone.
The wolf gnashed his teeth angrily. First, his inner tube was taken, then and he got tricked. He wouldn’t let that happen again.
Vanessa glanced up a tree. She used to love climbing trees when she was a child.
She mounted the tree and hastily started to scramble up. At last, she reached the top of the tree. But what to do now? The wolf was patiently waiting for her to come down.
The surrounding trees were too far to jump to. Then, Vanessa saw the fireflies.
Vanessa took a leap toward the fireflies.
The fireflies surrounded and caught her.
Vanessa could feel the fireflies strength weakening. Slowly, they descended towards the ground. The wolf gnashed his teeth, ready to swallow Vanessa whole. As Vanessa waited for her doom, a cry rang out through the forest…
Before the wolf could even react, soldiers poured out everywhere.
The wolf wide-eyed grimly scrambled away.
The soldiers began to part to form a space. The Queen appeared.
As she stumbled into the newly made clearing, she cried out to find the wolf.
The soldiers began to charge through the forest, searching for every nook and cranny to find that slimy creature. The Queen turned to Vanessa.
The two women looked at each, laughing nervously. Then they too, charged into the forest to find their revenge.
The Queen knew exactly where he would be. In his secret den.
She tugged her near-faithful servant to follow.
They burst in the den. The wolf was pacing up and down until he saw them.
The queen and her servant quickly realized that charging unarmed into an angry wolfs den, was not a smart solution.
Just as they thought they had made an unwise choice, several soldiers charged toward the wolf, and with struggling, and howling, the wolf was slain.
Everyone sighed with relief. The soldiers had been tracking their queen’s path.
The Queen turned again to Vanessa.

Queen: Vanessa, at first you weren’t exactly a loyal servant. But now that you have redeemed yourself, I feel obliged to appoint you as second in command.
Vanessa fell to her knees.
Vanessa: I humbly accept your kind offer, your highness.
The Queen smiled gently. She picked Vanessa up and she shouted to all the soldiers:

Queen: Then if so, I would like everyone to bow down to her.
Every soldier surrounding them, dropped to their knees and bowed their heads to the newly appointed second in command.
Vanessa beamed, happy to serve everyone as second in command.
So Vanessa faithfully ruled under her queen. And while the queen lost the donut she wanted, she was humbled and happy.
