Ah, really? But I think consecrate is really good ability in Harrowland and in Clash of clones.
like you can’t do anything while your using the ability
For example,
An ability that stuns enemies for 5 seconds, but also stuns your hero for 5 seconds. The “also stuns your hero for 5 seconds” is a type of tradeoff/penalty for using that ability.
Ohhhhh, I get it now, I’ll edit
Thanks guys!
So abilities that are powerful but with minuses?
Technically yes – I’m really looking for strong, powerful abilities, but also has penalties to using it, so you’ll only use that ability for certain circumstances instead of spamming.
Originally, consecrate would’ve been an ability that healed enemies for a certain duration, but had no tradeoffs, so you could walk around while using the ability. However, Nick and I decided it’s better if it was something similar to shield(), where you’re stuck while shielding.
Yeah. So it’s closer to shieldBubble?
It’s definitely an alternative to shieldBubble. However, consecrate is likely to be more useful for weaker players as shieldBubble directly depends on your shield quality vs. consecrate healing a flat amount.
Something else you can play around with is neutral abilities, which either can be a disadvantage or an advantage. Swap() for example, is a neutral ability because you won’t gain anything directly, but you don’t lose anything. However, in certain cases you’d use it, for example if you’re trying to escape a brawler, you might swap with a friendly troop to avoid being attacked.
Or in Capture their flag swap with robot and you won’t be killed by robot.
So now CoCo need powerful abilities with minuses or neutral abilities. Let’s think…
Dk the name to the ability, but here it is:
In 5 seconds no one can move to you and attack you/arrows and all missiles can’t get you. But: your health is like in shadow vortex. You had 3503 health for example, but you have 3502, 3501, 3500 etc.
You can use it with heal/consecrate though.
I like the concept, however, you’ve mentioned the issue yourself – This ability can be used indefinitely with heal and consecrate.
Maybe you can’t use them with this ability. Like Grow + Earthskin. I always get an error when I’m trying to use them.
Btw, Chaboi_3000, you’ll get Great Topic soon. (I think) And lots of Good Replies. (I hope that’s not spam)
I have a few ideas:
hero.deathShroud()
cooldown: 8 sec
ability: renders the hero invisible for up to 20 seconds.
drawback: every second you lose life. For the first 5 seconds it’s 8life per/sec, then it doubles to 16, then to 32, then finally to 64 for the 15-20 seconds. If you used all 20 seconds you would lose 600 life.
Would come with a non categorised hat (I think we need armour abilities
). Any class could wear it. The hat gives 300 life. Cost: 5000.
Not sure how balanced that is, but it sounds quite cool to me.
I know there’s already a LOTR ring (the precious), but I think we need a more realistic version.
The One Ring.
Cost: 6,000
Abilities: hero.cast(“invisibility”, hero), lasts for 8 seconds. Cooldown: 12
And it increases gold production by 50%.
Drawback: speed down by 40%, lose 3 health per sec just if it’s equipped. Every time you summon a troop, there’s a 10% chance they will turn on you and attack you for 8 seconds. During that time they will become an enemy.
I think that would be a weird, but cool ring to play with.
hero.cast(“trade”, enemy, friend)
This ability trades and enemy troop with one of your own. For example you could cast “trade” and swap their burl with your soldier. Works with anything classed as friend and enemy. You can’t trade enemy heroes.
Drawback is that you have to give one of your troops, you just get their better one.
Cooldown: 15 seconds
Would come with the ring of Betrayal. Cost: 4,000. Available for all classes.
What do you think of them?
Nice! How did you write SO big comment?
Wait 19 hours to receive a like from me.
Bog?? I’m not quite sure what that means… Hopefully it’s good. A bog isn’t conjuring good images…
Oh, ok. That makes sense. Well I guess I just wrote one comment instead of three or more.
