This statement is true, going back to the Clinton administration. Both Russia and the US wanted Ukraine to disarm is Nuclear Weapon program in exchange for protection from the US. Correct me if I am wrong but this is how it played out. Thankfully the US and surrounding NATO countries have sent weapons and arms to Ukraine to help the people fighting on the front lines. All Ukraine wants is their full independence with no interference from Russia. I stand with Ukraine today.

People from all over the world are supporting Ukraine. Why would Russia attack if they knew most of the world would be against them?

They know that people won’t support it, but they also know people are to scared to interfere.

France, North Korea, India also has some.

The world would be against Putin, but does that matter if Russia became much stronger? It just means the world can do less against Russia’s momentum.

In fact 9 countries are known to have nuclear warheads, and the capabilities to use them:

And 5 more NATO countries have them in warhead-sharing schemes.

I think it’s important here for some users to remember firstly who they’re talking to, and also the seriousness of the situation. This isn’t some trivial matter you’re discussing, but a war.
@CrapDaCrab & @Lydia_Song, don’t talk about things you know nothing about. I’m not pretending I’m an expert on this, but I’m not the one making ridiculous statements. How can you seriously spurt out all this misinformation, in the face of someone who is experiencing the consequences of the very war you’re talking about. The things you wrote are like the kind of things which are being used by Russian propagandists to try and justify this completely unjustifiable invasion.

First of all, how do you know what’s really going on in China when you don’t live there, and secondly, Russia and China are not at all “really good friends”. They’re both dictatorships (There is much evidence that the electoral system in Russia is not at all fair) with very little freedom of speech, expression or choice and a recent record of human rights violations. (There are many proven examples of this, this is not an opinion). I’m not saying it’s the people’s fault, but instead the fault of the governments, the institutions and the leaders. They’re united in their dislike and distrust of liberal democracies, and as two great powers who are relatively close geographically, if not politically, they do share some interests and have made some treaties, but it would be wrong to conceive this a “really good friendship”.
I would just ask that you show some respect and decency when posting here.

To @Alexbrand, I’m very sorry that you’re going through this horrible nightmare, and I’m honestly shocked at Putin’s madness. I just hope that all of this will be over soon, and with a favourable result for Ukraine. I also hope that our governments do more to punish Putin for his heinous actions. Surely there are no sanctions strong enough to respond to this invasion of Europe, and yet there are so few sanctions currently in place.

I travelled to Canada. But I’m a Chinese, and there is nothing you can do about changing my religion. I hope you are not racist to Chinese people because I am proud of my country and I cannot take people that play down my country. I am the clearest of the news going in MY country, if you don’t know anything, don’t blind-guess it.
