according to Merriam Webster itās this:

I should probably also mention that since ost is short for original soundtrack, technically that means that an ost doesnāt have to be music. If you think about it, the audio of someone reading an audio book would be a soundtrack, and that technically isnāt music. So, in reality yāall are both half right. An ost could be either one.

Evidently youāve not played any videogames, or your only reference point is Undertaleās soundtrack. OSTs in modern games are very rarely electronic-sounding like Megalovania.
Iāve already given the Google (OED) definition earlier in this topic, and stated that what is or isnāt music is subjective.
Iāll just start calling it video game music that is more accurate

Ahemā¦ Super Mario Galaxy, and itās sequelā¦ Those were made with an orchestraā¦ and itās still classified as an OST (That just stands for Original SoundTrack)ā¦ Because the music either comes directly from a game, a crossover (Between FFXIV (Final Fantasy 14 in the case of Final Fall from Fall Guys), or is directly composed by the music composition team.
