It seems strange that the type for the human caster is “Librarian”. I’m curious the reasoning for not using a more typical name such as Mage or Wizard.

I guess it had to do with the book in their hands xD
Yup, Wizards in the CodeCombat universe are the players. Originally a group wanted to make levels involving a Librarian, so we had one made, but then those levels weren’t finished; later we repurposed the Librarian as a general spellcaster.
