I don’t know for discourse, but usually forums have a maximum-post-length. As this list has the potential for breaking a hypothetical length-limit, I went sure.
If you can assure me that is not the case, I can delete this post.

And, just in case there is information not directly related to the list, but still on-topic, I have a post to edit it in.

For the length limit, there is indeed one default of 32000 characters, which can be changed - not sure if there is an upper technical limit there, but it probably doesn’t matter. The folks behind discourse are really, really very detailed oriented and way specialized into the topic of making forums, unlike the vast majority of programmers.

As for organizing multiple sub topics with multiple posts, I’ll have to agree with you. I’d still not reserve a post, but I think multiple consecutive posts should be a feature.
