I thought you would have to pay when you register, but I think you can play with everyone else and then once the competition is done you can chose to pay or not.

The way I read it…no pay = no prize; they need to verify age/grade eligibility, which is what the $5 is for.

Yeah, I agree. But you can still play against other people in the competition without paying.

Yeah but all you had to do for registration is first name, last name and codecombat email they never said anything about age/grade eligibility or is it going to sent in the email.
