As most of Discord topics are dead, I created a new one.
On Official CodeCombat Discord there is a problem, that you need phone number to post.
So, I created a Discord server for people, who just want to be friends and chat.There is a specific channel for CoCo stuff and some TL’s, too.Anyone, who wants, join:

I welcome the idea of creating such a chat. Since 2020, the direction of this forum has shifted completely to topics completely unrelated to CoCo.
Take a look at this snapshot taken today.

About a thousand Off-Topic posts correspond to each post for Level Help.
After 2020, there is a significant number of users banned from the forum, the posts are already locked automatically, the best programmers left it a long time ago. Maybe if some of all these “20 characters posts” are redirected elsewhere, the forum will be reborn into something better.

I agree with @xython ever since people started getting bored a ton of off topics have sprang up and clogged the “new” tab

Hey there,
I’m totally fine with this Discord server being made, as long as it is not being used for malicious purposes. (I completely trust you on this). Additionally, I’d love to move more of those off-topic threads and the "Everything pm"s outside of the Discourse to reduce clutter. Have fun!

Thanks, I want them to move to my server, too. But nobody else wants to join it. :frowning:
CoCo discourse is too cozy to leave, and switch to Discord, even if it is better for chattin’, than Discourse system is hard for some people.

Also you have to remember that many of the people here aren’t 13 and up. Or aren’t allowed on discord. So there will still be some off-topic stuff

The age requirement for Discord is 13, not just the CoCo server.

Goodness, I had to go through such a hard time to get on there. The first time, I forgot my password, the second time, it told me to sign up again, so I did. Which made me end up with two profiles. And then I deleted my second one but couldn’t delete my first because I had forgotten my password. I finally got in. Yeesh. :sweat_smile:
