Bro I got so freaked out by this video (not to offend dora fans) AND NO I AM NOT TRYING TO START RELIGOUS CONFLICT. I’m just suprised that the character that carried my childhood is a low key demon:

And yes I tried doing it for myself and i got the same result. :scream:

bro first we get bald dora now we have this?

Theory: bald dora is the long lost daughther of caillou and dora

This is actually quite a good philosophy about the human brain.
If the text wasn’t there and we’d never seen the thing before, and it was just the tune on its own, we wouldn’t hear any words, especially not the ones mentioned. However, the reversed song very faintly resembles the words and the subtitles guide our brains into thinking that’s what’s being said. Now that we’ve heard it though, we won’t be able to hear it that way until we forget about the song.
I believe that this is called confirmation bias, where you’re more likely to notice things that you’re looking for and to seek mainly evidence that agrees with your beliefs. We all have it in some form, and in this case we’re guided into believing that the reversed version of the theme song in question contains the words ‘Hail Satan’.

As Wikipedia puts it:
“Confirmation bias is the tendency to search for, interpret, favour, and recall information in a way that confirms or supports one’s prior beliefs or values.”

One Redditor’s definition on r/criticalthinking states a similar thing, just with different wording:
“Confirmation bias is a tendency to consider information that confirms what you already believe and that doesn’t challenge it.”

Wow I didn’t expect to write an essay on confirmation bias today

Idk about yall but I heard it pretty clearly even with my eyes closed. No offense I am not trying to blame your hearing skills.

Yes, but you’d already watched the video, right?
