TECHNO NEVER DIES

Well, as far as I remember, lots of people says smth like: “Phewww, I can wright TONES of theese “haiku”!”
But the thing is that originally haiku is not only about syllables but also about some deep thought. And here we have trouble with understanding hmmm japaneese “way of thinking”/worldview/outlook. Personally me have doubts that people of western civilization can grasp it. (The same about other cultures: people of India would hardly can grasp with western culture and so on. We are who we are and one need to be born and grow in some culture to understand it perfectly and completely). IMHO.
Maybe Chaboi can add a couple of words)

I have noticed that after writing a lot of haiku, my words have become more deliberate when writing them. Is that what you’re talking about? I’ve come to think more about what words to use.

Truly speaking I am not big specialist in haiku and don’t want to pretend to be) Just touched this theme once or twice in my life)

Well, not completely, but it also may concern) Maybe, you made first step on a way to the wisdomly written haiku)
But also there is a problem of perception. I would compare it to looking at the
|sorry, I’ll edit it later - electricity blackout is coming|
so, looking at the picture or listening to the music or reading a book. All this art stuff)
At first there is a pair of participants: the author and recipient. And their background) “The beauty is in the eye of the beholder”(c) - I mean, one need to understand the meaning, “story”, “value” of the masterpiece to say it’s really precious. In other words, context of the piece of art. For examle we know that Ulysses by James Joyce is some kind of “remake” of ancient greek poem the Odyssey. But we should read the Odyssey to know that) Secondly, (my favourite in the school, ha-ha) - question “What did author want to tell by his novell/poem/picture etc?”. Sometimes author didn’t want to tell anything!) (Well, sometimes he really did and explained it very clear like Malevich with his Black sqaure. And that’s really the case where context is very important.) Sometimes - he wanted express some ideas and we get it right in the key he wanted us to understend it. And sometimes he meant one thing but we see completely other ideas, even contrary to what he meant or staying apart far far away. The more we know about author, society of his time, other authors or persons or events he might mention and other things - the more chances to get not only the common plot and ideas but also nuances of novell.
What is common between Memories by Maroon 5, Goodbye by David Guetta, It’s a hard life of Queen (truly speaking I found this one out while wrighting this post) and well many others songs? They are “inspired” by classic music or opera songs. Of course they are interesting and beautiful by itself but knowing of its background adds some advantages and joy. The same with modern songs that takes samples of music from 1990-2000 or 2000-2010. I’ve heard about 3 different songs used I’m blue by Eiffel 65 (by David Guetta & Bebe Rexha f.e.), one or two variations of Ecuador by Sash!, some remakes of Robert Miles works and so on for last years…
So. It’s hard to dive into some culture and even harder to create some cultural object in context of this culture. And the highest difficulty level - to invoke emotions you wanted from people of this culture) But it doesn’t mean we can’t keep trying)
