I donât think thatâs how it works unless you are a genius or something because if you want to work in a big company (and most people want to do that after college or university) at first you need to have a degree so that they could start thinking about working with you.
exactly u need a degree + experience realistically
Ok but if you made something good that would be more valuable than a degree. Their are a lot of online courses or like you said community college courses that would helpful for learning the things you need
my guy unless u prodigy or sum ts not gonna work out. u wouldnât understand ur only 12 but trust itâs not that easy
itâs so competitive
But if you make something good nobodyâs gonna think so unless you have a âsignâ that you are capable of doing that aka degree
I understand that my point is the learning doesnât necessarily need to come from college.
but certification does. bro the way ur describing it everyone should have a job and be rich right now and thatâs not how the real world worksđ
Actually idk if in your country you can find a good work without finishing college but in my country you just wonât get a good work without finishing the university.
If can prove with actions like a coding project that you are good at coding that would be more useful than a degree thats my point
exactly only job u would get would be like fast food or like jobs that a 16 year old could do
Ill shut up now I seem to not have much kn
nah doesnât work like that. ion think u understand how competitive it is right now. even getting a decent job requires a degree from a decent college
Well for that you need some start capital and for thst you either should be a kid of a very rich person thst made his way up there by getting good education (I am sure) or you should first work somewhere and after that make that project.
exactly itâs not that easy
I wasnât saying that it will make you rich fast I was saying that as far as getting hired to Google a degree is not necessarily the most important thing in the world
nope it actually is
u wonât even be considered if u donât have a degree from a bad college
As a point of reference for you all, hereâs a list of currently available jobs at , with requirements listed:
Whilst not all the jobs require degrees, most do.
But, CodingCrusader, if you and someone else apply for the same job, but the other person has a degree (and you donât), theyâre more likely to get the position.
Youâve got a point. But if you have a well made coding project or sumthin but no degree they might consider you over someone who doesnât have a lot of experience besides a college degree . But then again Iâm 12 so what do I know
nah im pretty sure a couple of faang companies dropped their degree requirements
