It’s been about 3-4 years since I’ve done CodeCombat, and I’m wondering how this community is doing.
Has CodeCombat changed in the last 3 years? I still remember a couple of people, especially Chaboi_3000. Does anyone still remember me?
What have y’all done/learned in the past 3 years?
One thing I learned is “performance,” which I didn’t know when nick talked about how his code didn’t have good performance 3 years ago in response to my Meteor Strike level.
Hey! Welcome back! I bet everyone knows you (you used to post a lot). Idk how CoCo was three years ago, so I can’t answer your question. It’s good to see you!
Glad to have you back SuperSmacker. There has been a few notable changes to the game. You might want to check Announcements where we post a majority of them. The biggest change we had is probably the addition of the AI league, where you compete in code championships to earn prizes.
In a sense of machine learning? Nope. The “AI” part was derived from the fact that players write algorithms that determine their action. I’m assuming the “algorithm” part was what they considered AI.
I don’t think there are any new concepts added unless you count Illia’s introduction levels. A lot of the team focused on Ozaria(Classroom-version), so there weren’t too many levels added. (Only around 7-ish new levels?)
@SuperSmacker! Welcome back. Wow, that’s a surprise. How are you?
And, as Chaboi said, there have been quite a few changes, including new heroes and items, and a few levels, maybe you’ve already seen them. (no progress on the volcano as of yet though…)
@SuperSmacker You can call me Fire Crafter or numbers (or if you want to @ me) I have seen a TON of your posts. especially in the Doritos topic which got closed.
Welcome back SuperSmacker! I’ve read a few of your posts. As for additions to CC, there have been a few heroes added, the AI League, and a few new items have also been released.
