I would save up for: in order of importance (in my opinion) 1) emperor’s gloves, 2) ring of speed, 3) invisibility ring. As well as better swords (I would recommend you get Sword of the Temple Guard) and armour.

what about the runesword instead of the sword of the temple gaurdian?
It’s definitely not as good. It has high damage, but it’s really slow. It only hits about once a second unlike the sword of the temple guard which hits about 4 times a second. If you have the runesword it takes ages to kill munchkins, even though you leave them on -180 health or something.
