Anyone who has watched that moonwalk knows the classic spins and graceful movements…
Moonwalk…
Is there a way for me to command my collectors to collect a specific item on the map?
you can do it by this way.
@Venneth While the robot towers don’t seem to be able to hit the collectors any more, the robobombs can
Also, the robobombs still don’t seem to blow up properly facing robot towers all the time
-Collectors now shouldn’t be damaged by robobomb’s explosion
as for the weird behaviour of robobombs, i’m still digging into it at the moment
Thanks for the report!
Hey @Venneth I looked in the editor and I believe this might be the cause of the robobomb issues
Why did @k_k_javascript just give out valuable code to everyone? This is a competition, not a group project! Is this against the rules? People are going to stop doing the AI League if people just give out code after other people work extremely hard on figuring out that same problem.
It’s not like he’s giving away his entire coded stratagy. He’s showing how to do something that you can implement in your code. Its like telling people how to summon or cast a spell. Besides you can’t even use that piece of code without some basic sense of how it works. It’s not gonna make or break the competition. He’s just trying to be helpfull and help people learn.
I don’t think he is sharing his code, he is just giving examples of the many ways hero.chooseItem could be used
I think giving filter code is not important. I just show way to choice items.
The code I gave is not strong and my code is more complicated.
If people copy code, will it be caught in the final results? It says directly in the AI League Official Rules that people are not allowed to copy code from other people. I agree with @iggymaster99 that people should be helpful, but giving out code is against the forums’ rules and against the AI League rules. Maybe after the competition is over you can give out code. I’m just stating some suggestions and trying to make the AI League better.
Also the code is in hints (well, a more simplified version of it)
technically it says copying code from another student is considered cheating.
I do agree that players shouldn’t just post all their code on the forums, but as others have stated the code that k_k_javascript posted is very rudimentary.
Maybe @Venneth can clarify the intention of section 15.1.3:
“The use of any kind of cheating method is prohibited. This includes but is not limited to the use of
duplicate accounts, copying another student’s submitted code, use of any device or program for
the specific purpose of cheating or ranking higher, or students not submitting their own work.”
Yea, if you have seen his code on the podium before, you will find that these are "completely nothing"they are already the foundation of the foundation to him(I can’t understand his program at all ha ha )
After the competition some people give up their all their code.
Also its not the first time this has happened. It’s been going on for a long time and none of the mods say anything. Its just little tips and things to get people started.
after the competition the mods gave everyone the top two players’ code
or they used to when they made the videos
You found a lot!
I want to see FR’s code but they didn’t make the video
It happens a lot. Lol.
